It’s not every day that we get to see the inner workings of a tire. That’s why the video from the Warped Perception channel on YouTube is racking up thousands of views.

Footage from a GoPro camera mounted inside a tire shows exactly what happens when a car drives on the road, while the “balance beads” provide some context about what’s really going on.

Balance beads are small plastic or glass beads placed inside a tire after it’s mounted on a rim, intended to balance the wheel as it spins. In the clip, they offer a much-needed perspective on the centrifugal forces that occur as the tire rotates.

With that in mind, it’s really interesting to see how they work from the tire’s internal perspective. “This was a highly requested video in my previous video of putting a GoPro inside a tire. So, thank you also to everyone who made that request,” says the video description.
