The Hyundai RN24 is a radical electric “go-kart” unveiled at Hyundai’s N Day event for 2024.

Described as a “Laboratory on Wheels,” it represents Hyundai’s desire to develop a fully electric sports hatchback.

With a chassis inspired by WRC cars and equipped with a dual-motor system from the Ioniq 5 N, the RN24 weighs just 1880 kg and delivers 641 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.4 seconds.

This model uses rally shocks and rigid substructures, providing a unique driving experience. Additionally, its control system allows for customization of parameters such as throttle sensitivity and power distribution between the axles.

The RN24 also features improvements in cooling and steering response, as well as an electronic handbrake that reduces weight, while an active sound system amplifies the vehicle’s sounds.

With a wheelbase 340 mm shorter, the redesigned 84 kWh battery positions the RN24 between B-segment vehicles, making it similar to the i20N WRC. Aesthetically, the model features a minimalist design with styling elements from Hyundai, such as lights inspired by the Ioniq series. 3D-printed reinforcements and 19-inch wheels complete the sporty look of the vehicle.
