Every driver has experienced a situation where the car parked next to theirs is so close that it becomes impossible to open the door and get into their vehicle. Fortunately, this isn’t a problem for Hyundai Santa Fe owners.
In a video shared on TikTok, Carter and Alex filmed the moment they found a car practically pressed up against their Hyundai in an extremely tight parking space.
“What should we do?” Carter asked as he calmly assessed the situation. He then walked forward and showed that he couldn’t even fit in the gap between the two vehicles, so there was no way to open the door and get into his car.
“Yeah, you won’t fit unless you want to scratch the car,” Alex observed. Fortunately, Carter remembered a very useful feature of modern Hyundai vehicles: the Remote Smart Parking Assist.
“Do you want to try it? Well, apparently we have this feature, but sometimes it doesn’t work,” he said while holding the car key in his hand. With the press of a button, he activated the feature, and the car began moving forward slowly.
Despite the couple’s doubts, the feature worked as intended, and the Santa Fe successfully got out of the tight parking spot. “I guess Hyundais can be useful,” Alex reflected at the end of the clip.
The video has already accumulated over 5 million views and hundreds of comments from internet users who were shocked by the scene. “Amazing! This parking lot needs to widen its spots. [They are] way too narrow,” commented one TikTok user.

“I literally [had to] climb through the trunk of my car to get to the driver’s seat,” another user said. “You just convinced me to buy a new car,” admitted a third internet user.
@itscarterandalexYay we finally got to use this feature on our hyndai 😂♬ original sound – itscarterandalex
