The information is released by the official page of the German Ministry of Defense.

As part of the new military aid package, Germany will transfer a relatively large amount of weapons to Ukraine, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, engineering equipment, and artillery.

As part of this package, three HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, which Germany had not previously transferred, will be delivered to Ukraine.

Among the armored vehicles, 20 Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles, 10 Leopard 1A5 tanks, as well as engineering armored vehicles, 1 Bergepanzer 2 ARRV, 4 WiSENT 1 MC engineering armored vehicles, 2 Biber bridge-laying vehicles, and 2 Pionierpanzer 2A1 Dachs tracked engineering vehicles will be transferred.

The new military aid package also includes anti-aircraft missile systems, including 1 battery of IRIS-T SLM medium-range air defense systems, as well as two IRIS-T SLS launchers, which have already been transferred to Ukraine.

It should be noted separately that, as part of the military assistance, Germany will transfer three sets of AMPS airborne missile defense systems for helicopters and aircraft to Ukraine.

This system is a set of sensors installed on the aircraft that provides Missile Launch Detection (MILDS), Advanced Control and Display Unit (ACDU), and Active Confirmation Target System (MACS), which determines the range and speed of detected missiles and eliminates false sensor warnings.

Additionally, the list of military aid includes:

155 mm ammunition – 21,000 units;
anti-drone jammers – 4 units;
firearm ammunition – 4,000,000 units;
MK 556 rifles – 100 units;
Mercedes-Benz Zetros tank trucks – 16 units;
CR 308 rifles – 100 units;
HLR 338 precision rifles – 85 units;
night vision devices – 100 units;
ammunition for HLR 338 rifles – 180,000;
ammunition for the Marder infantry fighting vehicle and Leopard 1 tank;
IT equipment;
boats;
materials for explosive ordnance disposal.

The transfer of HIMARS comes as part of the urgent sale of these rocket systems to Ukraine, which was announced in early May 2024.

At that time, the German government committed to financing the purchase and transfer of three multiple rocket launchers worth $30 million to Ukraine.
