Frankie Muniz ended up crashing his car during a NASCAR race last Friday (10). After the collision, the Malcolm in the Middle actor said he had an argument with another driver involved in the incident.

The 40-year-old actor was competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at the Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee when he collided with two other cars in the third turn, an accident that also involved drivers Tyler Reif and Timmy Hill.

After the crash, Muniz spoke with Fox Sports and revealed that Reif was quite upset about what happened. Apparently, Reif had already been harassing Muniz even before Friday’s race began, he told the outlet.

“He was yelling at me in there, saying I’m a backmarker, like I shouldn’t be racing. I’m in the lucky dog position, I’m fighting. I belong on this racetrack just as much as he does, just as much as the leaders. I’m not going to stop here,” Muniz warned.

Regarding his performance in the race, the actor said: “I didn’t see a replay, but based on what I felt, I went to the middle of the track. I didn’t track all the way to show that I was going back to the rear.”

He admitted he thought his team was doing “really well” before the crash. “We were in the lucky dog position, so I was just trying to put in some good lap times. I think there were about 10 laps to go in the stage,” Muniz added.

Speaking to reporters, Muniz even joked about the crash happening on the same day that the reboot of Malcolm in the Middle premiered on Disney+ and on the Hulu channel. “I hope I got some TV time, you know what I mean? I hope people watch the reboot right after this race!”
