Strategic cooperation
“Poland is a key strategic partner for Fincantieri, and we are proud to contribute to the country’s ambitious naval modernization plans,” said Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and Managing Director of Fincantieri. “With a legacy of more than 180 submarines built and extensive experience in advanced naval platforms, we bring unique expertise to support the ORKA program and develop long-term industrial cooperation with PGZ and the national defence industry.”
Under the terms of the agreement, Fincantieri and PGZ will explore joint opportunities in the design, construction, and life-cycle support of advanced naval platforms, including submarines. The partnership combines Fincantieri’s technological leadership in shipbuilding with PGZ’s broad industrial base, a key component of Poland’s defence modernization strategy.
Impact for Poland and beyond
The goal is to create joint opportunities not only for the Polish Navy but also for the international market, strengthening the presence of both companies in the global naval sector.
PGZ, Poland’s leading state-owned defence group, manages a diversified portfolio of companies active in shipbuilding, offshore engineering, and the technical modernization of the country’s Armed Forces.
