A red Ferrari parked on Silvio Carlos Viana Avenue, a highly frequented and touristic spot in Maceió, the capital of Alagoas in the northeast of Brazil, drew attention after being found tagged with the words ‘corrupt’ and ‘thief’.

The luxury vehicle, a 2010 California model, was towed by the DMTT (Municipal Department of Transportation and Traffic) after the incident, which took place last Friday, but the situation quickly went viral on social media.

The luxury vehicle’s owner, influencer Kel Ferreti, claimed it was all just a marketing stunt, as the paint used was washable.

However, authorities took action, removing the car to a lot due to the lack of a front license plate and other irregularities, supported by municipal legislation and the Brazilian Traffic Code.

Kel Ferreti, a former military police officer and digital influencer, known for his presence on social media, went to the DMTT lot and retrieved the vehicle with a private tow truck, paying the towing fees and the daily lot charge.

It was also observed that the car was wrapped in red, though its document listed the color as white. The Municipality of Maceió gave a deadline of 10 days for Ferreti to resolve all issues, including removing the wrap and correctly placing the front license plate, under penalty of restriction by the Detran.

Influencer Kel Ferreti, who was expelled from the police force the previous year for an electoral crime, showcases a luxury lifestyle on social media, and he is known for holding raffles for powerful cars.

Regarding the situation, Ferreti shared a video showing the moment he tagged his own car and left it on the spot, in addition to responding to some ‘haters’:
