Ferrari released a special video featuring Formula 1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc testing the brand’s new supercar, the F80.
The footage, filmed at the Fiorano track, shows both drivers pushing the 1,200-horsepower model, considered the most powerful street car ever produced by the Italian manufacturer.
Leclerc was the first to drive, but Hamilton was the most impressed, stating: “It’s the fastest street car I’ve ever driven.” Both drivers finished the test expressing their desire to own an F80, which costs \$3.9 million.
Successor to the LaFerrari, the F80 is a hybrid supercar with four engines — a 900-hp twin-turbo V6 gasoline engine and three electric motors adding another 300 hp. With all-wheel drive and an eight-speed transmission derived from Formula 1, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in an astonishing 2.15 seconds and reaches up to 350 km/h. It offers different driving modes, ranging from the most efficient to the most aggressive, as well as a power optimization system for track use.
The vehicle’s design, signed by Flavio Manzoni, blends futuristic elements with references to Ferrari classics like the 288 GTO and F40. The carbon fiber body includes butterfly doors, integrated air intakes, and advanced aerodynamic solutions such as an active rear wing and adaptive suspension. Inside, the focus is entirely on performance, with a minimalist finish and driver-oriented controls. Only 799 units of the F80 will be produced.
