The EX60 will be the first production model to use the SPA3 platform, an evolution of the SPA2, which already equips the ES90 and EX90 models. According to Anders Bell, Volvo’s head of engineering, the SPA3 was developed entirely by the brand, with no influence from the parent company Geely.
In addition to the EX60, which had already been announced in September, Volvo is preparing two other models based on the SPA3 platform.
