The batch is part of a contract signed in June 2024 with the company Nexter, part of the KNDS conglomerate, which provides for the acquisition of 12 units in total, as well as the possibility of ordering additional systems in the future. The first shipment, also consisting of six units, arrived in the country at the end of January.
Since the initial delivery, Estonian recruits have been participating in a seven-week training program that includes practical instructions, tactical exercises, and live fire drills, preparing the Army to fully operate the new equipment.
