A drone attack struck a Russian military logistics facility in Naro-Fominsk, in the Moscow region, on the morning of Wednesday (7).

Reports shared by local channels indicated that explosions were heard throughout the city as air defense systems were activated in an attempt to intercept the drones.

According to information posted on social media, residents recorded drones flying over the area and shared videos capturing the sound of the explosions. Initial reports suggested that a military unit had been hit, but the target was later identified as the Nara military logistics facility, linked to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The complex covers an area of approximately 180 to 200 hectares and is considered important for supplying Russian forces, being responsible for the storage and distribution of equipment, food, and other military supplies. The incident comes amid a rise in drone attacks on Russian territory in recent months.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that 347 Ukrainian drones were allegedly shot down overnight across different regions of the country, including Moscow. At the same time, attacks were also reported in occupied Crimea, where a building allegedly linked to the Russian security service was hit, along with operations targeting railway logistics carried out by Ukrainian intelligence units.
