After passing its first field tests in 2023 and undergoing rigorous evaluations, the system was officially approved for delivery to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in December 2024.

Designed for reconnaissance and attack

Unlike many traditional ground platforms, the Droid TW was designed from the outset for reconnaissance and strike missions. The system integrates artificial intelligence for enemy personnel recognition, enhancing the effectiveness of fire support and surveillance, whether remotely controlled or autonomously operated in challenging environments. The first version was equipped with a Browning machine gun of 12.7 mm. Currently, there are also variants featuring 7.62 mm machine guns. Depending on the configuration, the system can carry between 480 and 1,000 rounds and engage targets at distances up to 1 km.

Advanced capabilities and mobility

The Droid TW can operate both day and night, equipped with a thermal camera and selectable display modes on the operator’s monitor. The target detection range reaches up to 1.5 km during the day and 1 km at night.
Additional equipment includes a ballistic calculation module to increase firing accuracy and communication systems compatible with military networks, Starlink, and LTE. The platform also features autonomous target acquisition capability.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the Droid TW can be easily transported in a pickup truck bed or on a trailer. Its combat readiness activation takes only 5 minutes. After deployment, the robot can be remotely controlled via a tablet or gamepad, ready to engage the enemy.

Present on the front lines

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has officially codified the Droid TW to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The system is currently deployed in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, providing high-quality reconnaissance and effective fire support across various combat scenarios.
In essence, the Droid TW represents a glimpse into the future of robotic combat systems.
