A drunk driver sank his car in Miami on Easter Sunday morning.

According to the police, a man named Yandeivy Chavez Dominguez was driving a Toyota Corolla on Easter Sunday morning when he left the sidewalk and went into the sea.

Andres Asion, who lives near the accident site, called emergency services as soon as he saw the car had fallen into the water, according to the New York Post.

“He was drunk, that’s what I think. Thank God he got out alive and that he didn’t kill someone because there are a lot of people who run and walk their dogs here every morning”, said Asion.

When Asion arrived at the scene of the incident, he saw Dominguez swimming to shore. “Maybe it’s an Easter miracle”, joked Asion.

The police conducted a sobriety test, and he failed. Dominguez was charged with driving under the influence of substances and was detained at the scene. No one was injured.
