Photos released this Friday (20) show the damage caused by activists from the Palestine Action group to one of the Airbus Voyager aircraft (A330MRTT model) of the British Royal Air Force (RAF). The action took place at Brize Norton Air Base, the largest RAF military facility in the UK.

According to information from the AviaCT channel on Telegram and the UK Defense Journal, two intruders managed to enter the base facilities on Wednesday (18). One of the perpetrators poured red paint over the fuselage and engines of the aircraft, while the other used a crowbar to damage structural parts of the plane.

One of the affected aircraft is the Airbus Voyager ZZ336, operated by No. 10 Squadron. The model is widely used as the official transport of the British Prime Minister and members of the Royal Family, which heightened the political fallout of the episode.

Despite the bold action, both activists managed to flee the scene without being caught, raising questions about the base’s security.

Shadow Armed Forces Minister Mark François warned of broader implications, stating: “There are also serious questions for the Ministry of Defence to answer about how these ‘protesters’—who may even have turned out to be armed terrorists—were able to gain access to what is supposed to be a secure RAF airbase.”

In response to the incident and other similar actions promoted by the group, the UK government is preparing to declare Palestine Action a proscribed organization, which would make any affiliation with the movement illegal.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper is expected to submit a written statement to Parliament next week, initiating the banning process under current anti-terrorism legislation.
