Dacia has just revealed the concept of the Hipster, an electric car for urban use that bets on the increasingly popular ultra-boxy design.
Measuring only 3 m in length, 1.53 m in height, 1.55 m in width, and weighing around 800 kg, the Dacia Hipster is even smaller than a kei car (a category of compact electric vehicles very popular in Asia).
Despite its compact size, it offers four seats and a small cargo compartment with a capacity of just 70 liters. Folding the rear seat, however, significantly increases the space to 500 liters.

While battery capacity is not specified, given the small size and low weight of the car, the Hipster does not appear to be designed for long trips. However, according to Dacia, it should require only two charges per week for moderate urban use.
Inside, it is clear that Dacia plans to save costs if the model reaches production. Yet, despite the minimalist interior, Dacia did not compromise on safety, installing airbags for both the driver and the front passenger.

The potential price has not been disclosed, but as this car fits into the “basic needs” category, it is expected that if the Hipster goes into production, it could be launched at a price below USD 25,000.
