A couple is gaining thousands of followers on social media by showing their routine living in a Land Rover Defender.
Nick Chazee and Mathilde Vougny left their regular jobs to travel the world in their rugged Land Rover Defender 110, known for its durability and versatility.
After adapting it, they revealed that they have already saved over $80,000 on rent. “It’s tough and reliable, and the Land Rover community is global,” Nick explained to The Sun. “Wherever we go, there’s always someone with a Defender ready to lend a hand if we need help.”
The couple also saves on food, as they have a storage compartment for food inside the vehicle, along with cooking appliances and camping gear.
“You save a lot cooking your own food. We have our own equipment so we can look for ingredients in local shops along the way and cook our own meals on the road,” Mathilde explained.
Planning was difficult, but the couple was determined to make it happen. After becoming frustrated with two-week vacation limits, they quit their jobs and began planning the route inspired by Facebook groups.
“It was about going somewhere new every day, meeting different people, and experiencing the world in a way most people don’t,” Mathilde added.
