To fit the basketball legend, the Effortless team had to extend the car by about 50 centimeters, a project that took several months to complete.
Does this extension affect the car’s aerodynamics? Yes, in part. But its 5.5-liter V-8 engine with a flat crankshaft remains untouched, so the change shouldn’t be felt much mechanically.
From the images, it appears that the shop made new doors, fenders, and engine cover, and also extended the interior. The tricky part was producing and installing the windows, which, according to the video, broke several times during the process.
And due to the extension of the doors, the windows are now quite wide, giving the car a somewhat comical look, since the C8 doors are already wide to begin with. Fortunately, it comes with a retractable roof, so the appearance stays sleek when in convertible mode.
