The United States Marine Corps recently demonstrated its heavy-lift capability by using a CH-53K King Stallion helicopter to hoist a military truck during an exercise in Arizona.
The action was part of the “Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) 2-26” course, one of the most demanding training programs in military aviation, conducted under conditions that simulate real combat scenarios.
The operation reinforces the strategic role of the CH-53K, which is replacing the older CH-53E helicopters.
