Vehicle accumulated over US$ 41,000 in debts and was circulating with irregular documentation

A black Renault Sandero was seized on the morning of Friday (25) in downtown São Paulo, during a routine operation by the Traffic Police Command of the Military Police. The car caught attention for having registered no less than 981 infractions and over US$ 41,500 in accumulated debts.

According to the police, the vehicle was circulating without a valid license and with documentation not meeting the required standards. Although there were no illegal items inside the car, the police ordered its immediate removal to an authorized yard due to the numerous irregularities.

The driver, whose identity was not disclosed, was not detained. The Military Police informed that, since the violations were exclusively administrative infractions under the Brazilian Traffic Code, there was no need for arrest — only the vehicle’s seizure.

Circulating with an unlicensed vehicle is considered a serious violation and may result in a fine, in addition to the seizure of the car. The police did not confirm if the case will be referred to the Civil Police.
