Bugatti is known for its supercars capable of reaching speeds over 450 km/h, but the owner of a Chiron was quite disappointed when she found out her car didn’t have a cup holder.
Apparently, entrepreneur Shannon Ralston mentioned that she spilled her drink in the car while driving since the car didn’t have a specific compartment to hold it. In response, Bugatti developed its first-ever cup holder.
The company’s design team started working on a functional adaptation of the cup holder for a Chiron already on the roads, and this design is now ready to be launched on the car in January. Frank Heyl, a designer at Bugatti, showed the prototype in a short video shared on Instagram.
The device is an adaptation for the door, fitting perfectly without any installation required. It features two cup holder sizes side by side. In the video, Heyl demonstrates how they are large enough for a water bottle and a can of Red Bull.
The designer also added that the cup holder will be 3D printed as a prototype and should be ready to be installed in the owner’s car in January.
