The British Army has received the first Boxer armored vehicle entirely manufactured on British soil, marking a major milestone in its modernization program.
Manufactured by **Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL)** in Telford, the vehicle was sent to Bovington, where it will be used for troop training on operation, driving, and maintenance of the 8×8 model.
The delivery is part of a \$6.7 billion investment to supply 623 units of the Boxer in different versions, aimed at the UK’s future mechanized infantry. With a high degree of mobility, enhanced protection, and a modular structure, the armored vehicle represents a central element of the new generation of British military vehicles. Currently, around 75% of its components are of domestic origin, with production ongoing in the cities of Telford and Stockport.
