Bombardier launches the fastest luxury jet in the world with nearly supersonic flight (X @Bombardier)
Bombardier revealed the Global 8000, a new nearly supersonic private jet that promises to be the fastest civil aircraft in operation, reaching speeds of up to Mach 0.94 (1,152 km/h).
During tests, it even surpassed the sound barrier, reaching Mach 1.015, although its official operational speed is lower. Even so, it will allow flights between New York and London in record times, close to those only possible during the Concorde era.
Set to enter service in the second half of 2025, the Global 8000 is designed to offer luxury and comfort. It accommodates up to 19 passengers and features four distinct areas, two bathrooms, a rest area for the crew, and a master suite equipped with a double bed, large wardrobe, panoramic windows, and a 32-inch HD TV.
Bombardier claims that the Global 8000’s mission is to provide a flight experience without compromise, combining high performance and sophistication.
