BMW has revealed the Vision Driving Experience concept, previewing the upcoming electric 3-Series from the Neue Klasse lineup.

The model features an evolved design compared to the 2023 Vision Neue Klasse, with thinner integrated headlights and a large air intake for battery cooling. Inside, the biggest change is the 11.2-inch touchscreen, which now stands out on the dashboard, along with a central hexagonal display — elements that will likely influence the production car’s design.

The concept’s standout feature is the “Heart of Joy” system, an advanced control system that manages powertrain, braking, energy regeneration, steering, and charging. This “superbrain” makes the vehicle’s response faster and more efficient, improving performance and boosting range by up to 25%.

Additionally, BMW is testing color-changing wheels that indicate different modes of operation, such as acceleration (green), energy regeneration (blue), and conventional braking (orange).

Production of the first Neue Klasse model is expected to begin later this year at BMW’s Debrecen plant in Hungary, and the new electric 3-Series is set to be revealed in the coming months.
