The BMW has announced it will produce a limited edition of the Skytop concept, with only 50 units of the two-seat convertible, all of which are already reserved.
The model retains its original features and is equipped with a 617 HP twin-turbo V8 engine, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.
The Skytop was unveiled at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, where the vehicle was deemed ready for production.
The Skytop’s design features a sharp front end with slim LED headlights and striking creases along the body. The targa-style roof has a leather-covered protective bar, and the roof panels can be manually removed and stored in the luggage compartment.
The hand-applied Floating Sundown Silver color will be the only one available for this limited edition, and the car stands out for its aluminum spine running from the hood to the rear lid.
The interior of the Skytop is trimmed in high-quality brown leather, featuring an elegant gear selector and a Bowers & Wilkins sound system.
Although the price has not been officially disclosed, rumors suggest it could cost around $542,000, with the model already sold out and reserved only for drivers who managed to secure one.
