The Republic of Belarus has received a new batch of Russian-made Su-30SM2 multirole fighter jets. The information was released on the official Telegram channel of the country’s Ministry of Defense.
The exact number of aircraft transferred was not disclosed. However, images published on social media show at least two fighters, apparently still at an airport in Russia. The aircraft reportedly carry, on a preliminary basis, the red tail numbers “13” and “14”.
This is the third batch of Su-30SM2 fighters delivered to Belarus in 2025. The second batch, consisting of aircraft numbered “11” and “12”, arrived in August at the 61st Fighter Air Base in Baranovichi. The first pair—aircraft “09” and “10”—was received in May of the same year at the same unit.

Before the deliveries of the modernized Su-30SM2 version, Minsk had incorporated eight Su-30SM fighters of the previous version, assembled at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant in Russia.
The transfers are part of the bilateral framework agreement signed in June 2017, which provides for the delivery of 12 fighters to Belarus. With the third batch, the country moves closer to completing the agreed schedule, significantly strengthening its fighter aviation with advanced-generation multirole aircraft.
