The Belarusian Army has begun incorporating the new BTR-V2 armored vehicle, receiving the first batch destined for the 120th Mechanized Brigade in Minsk.

Although the number of units has not been disclosed, experts indicate that this is an initial shipment aimed at operational evaluation before any potential expansion.

Originally unveiled in 2021, the vehicle went through several modifications before reaching the final MZKT-690003 version. Improvements include reinforced armor—now rated Br5 at the front and Br4 on the sides—and the integration of the Adunok-BM30.2 combat module, equipped with a 30 mm automatic cannon, a 7.62 mm machine gun, and two Konkurs missiles. These upgrades increased the total weight to 24.5 tons and reduced the range to 900 km.

The BTR-V2 maintains strong performance for its category, reaching up to 110 km/h on roads and 10 km/h in water. It is powered by a 550 hp diesel engine paired with a six-speed hydromechanical transmission and can carry eight soldiers in the rear compartment.

The model has been presented by Belarus as an advancement in mobility and protection for its ground forces.
