The protection system includes modular armor and active protection technology with laser detection.

Despite the innovations shown in the official video, images from the event indicate that the displayed model differs from the released concept, especially due to the absence of the coaxial machine gun.

In January 2025, the Slovak Ministry of Defense expressed interest in the CV90120-T as a more affordable alternative to the Leopard 2A8, highlighting cost-effectiveness as a key factor in acquiring more units with a lower investment.
