Automobili Mignatta launches the Rina with retro design, naturally aspirated V8, and manual transmission (Instagram @automobilimignatta)
The Italian startup Automobili Mignatta revealed its first model, the Rina, a convertible sports car inspired by 1960s classics.
With a handmade carbon fiber body in barchetta style and no windshield, the car focuses on a retro, elegant design aimed at the pure driving experience. The look is completed with 19- and 20-inch wheels, high-performance Pirelli tires, and powerful Brembo brakes.
Under the hood, the Rina features a 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, paired with a six-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear wheels. The engine preparation was handled by Italtecnica Engineering, which has worked on other high-performance restomod projects.
Although the exact power and torque figures have not been disclosed, the promise is for remarkable performance, without any turbo or supercharger assistance.
The interior follows a minimalist concept: no screens, just analog dials, brown leather, aluminum, and carbon fiber finishes. Only 30 units will be produced annually, with a starting price of around \$290,000.
Although the Rina is likely not homologated for use on U.S. roads, it represents a tribute to the Italian tradition of pure and exciting sports cars.
