The Ariel E-Nomad Concept is a new offering from the British manufacturer Ariel Motor Company, combining the adventurous spirit of the Nomad buggy with the sustainability of an electric vehicle.

Replacing the gasoline turbo engine of the previous model, the E-Nomad uses an electric powertrain with a 41 kWh battery and a 210 kW rear motor, delivering 281 horsepower and 361 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, the 450-volt battery is designed to be lightweight and efficient, utilizing lithium-ion modules called Pegasus V3 and cooled by a front radiator.

The E-Nomad Concept offers the same acceleration as the gasoline model, going from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, with an electric range of approximately 240 kilometers and fast charging from 20% to 80% in 25 minutes.

The vehicle also features a more aerodynamic body made from natural linen fibers, which is lighter and significantly reduces CO2 emissions during manufacturing.

The Ariel E-Nomad will be showcased at Cenex Expo 2024, taking place on September 4 at the Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire, England. Although the concept is still in development, Ariel is considering the possibility of including the E-Nomad in its future production lineup, depending on customer feedback and rigorous testing results.

The vehicle is the result of a collaboration between Ariel, Rockfort Engineering, and Bamd Composites, with support from the Department for Business and the Advanced Propulsion Centre.
