Airstream has launched a limited edition trailer inspired by the works of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, especially the Taliesin West house in Arizona, United States.

Developed in partnership with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, the model, called Usonian, seeks to reflect the architectural principles of the creator, such as the integration between indoor spaces and nature.

The trailer measures 8.5 meters in length, has large windows, colors inspired by the desert, and a smart layout with multifunctional spaces that transform as needed; for example, the living room can become a bedroom with a king-size bed at the touch of a button.

The interior incorporates several striking Wright ideas, such as using the concept of “compression and expansion” to create a sense of spaciousness when passing through narrow corridors. Natural lighting is also a highlight: the model features the highest number of windows ever used by Airstream, plus light fixtures designed to softly reflect light throughout the space. Decorative elements like the geometric “Gordon Leaf” pattern, created by one of Wright’s apprentices, appear in several interior spots, including doors, tables, and even the wireless charger base.

Only 200 units of the Usonian trailer will be produced, with manufacturing starting in July and deliveries of the first models expected by the end of the same month. The price is US$184,900, and sales will be made through Airstream’s dealer network.

Production is careful and slow, and the company expects it may take several years before all units are ready.
