An Airbus A320-214 operated by Air China, registered as B-9925, encountered a bird strike incident while performing flight CA4539 from Chengdu (CTU) to Xiamen (XMN) on the afternoon of December 5.

The incident occurred around 12:43 PM during the approach to runway 05 at Xiamen Gaoqi Airport.
A frontal collision with a flock of birds caused them to scatter in various directions. Despite the impact, the aircraft successfully landed with no injuries reported among passengers or crew.
Following an inspection at Xiamen Airport, the aircraft was cleared to operate the return flight CA4540 to Chengdu a few hours later.
