The U.S. Air Force has released a short clip showing a B-1B Lancer bomber flying with an AGM-183 ARRW hypersonic weapon carried externally for the first time.

According to a report by The Aviationist, the hypersonic weapon was visible in a brief 2-second clip that was part of a longer feature dedicated to maintainers, published on the Instagram page of Edwards Air Force Base on April 29, 2026.

For now, it is not known when the test flight with the ARRW on the B-1B Lancer took place. However, from the clip, it is possible to see that the weapon is installed on an external pylon, in the same position that had already been used in the past to test the external carriage of JDAM bombs and to operationally carry the Sniper targeting pod.

Years ago, the service had already mentioned its intention to integrate the AGM-183 on the “B-One”. So far, however, the weapon had only been seen on the B-52H Stratofortress, and the Air Force has not officially announced any tests of the weapon on the B-1B.
