A 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra was abandoned in a container for over 15 years after the original owner broke the transmission and parked the car.

Although the plan was to repair it, the current owner’s brother passed away before the repairs could be done. The car was stored in poor conditions, with rats destroying the interior and the exterior fading due to exposure to the elements. Despite this, the owner decided to restore it as a tribute to his brother.

Larry Kosilla, an expert from AMMO NYC, took on the challenging task of restoring the Mustang. After several days of intensive work, dismantling the interior and cleaning the exterior, the car underwent a significant transformation. The interior was completely renewed, with the vehicle’s interior now looking almost brand new. The wheels and exterior also improved significantly, although some damage on the hood remains visible.

The big challenge now is getting the engine running after nearly 30 years of inactivity. In addition to the transmission issue, there is the possibility that the fuel system and other parts are damaged. The good news is that, despite being a rare model, replacement parts are still available for this type of car.

Restoring the exterior could be the push the owner needs to move forward with the project and fulfill his brother’s dream.
