Originally launched in 1961 as a response to the Citroën 2CV, the model became a huge success until it was discontinued in 1994. The new model is a crossover version of the Renault 5, featuring elevated suspension and a sliding fabric roof that harks back to its predecessor.
With dimensions of 4.14 meters in length, the Renault 4 is larger than its predecessor and sits between the Clio and Captur, offering a generous cargo capacity of 420 liters.
The interior retains the familiarity of the hatchback, with a digital dashboard and a touchscreen, as well as additional space for rear passengers. The new setup also includes 18-inch wheels and independent suspension.
The Renault 4 E-Tech is offered with two engine options, with power ranging from 90 kW (121 hp) to 110 kW (148 hp), providing quick acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under 8.5 seconds. Available with 40 kWh and 52 kWh batteries, the range can reach up to 400 kilometers.
The model also supports fast and bidirectional charging, enhancing its versatility. After its debut at the Paris Motor Show, the new Renault 4 will be launched in Europe next year.
