Aviation revolutionized global transportation, replacing long sea crossings that could take up to ten days, and land crossings, which took four to six days to travel across the United States. Now, with the advancement of hypersonic jets, the possibility of traveling long distances is becoming even more accessible.
These jets, like the one planned by Venus Aerospace, will fly at speeds of up to about 4,800 km/h (Mach 5). For comparison, the Concorde, which once made the journey between London and New York in 2 hours and 52 minutes, could be outpaced by these new aircraft, which would theoretically complete the trip in one-third of that time.
