For the 2025 model, the Jeep Wrangler has simplified its powertrain options, offering the 3.6-liter V-6 engine with 285 horsepower exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.

The eight-speed automatic transmission, which was previously available as an option for an additional cost of $4,500, has been removed from the lineup. The Wrangler now also includes locks and power windows as standard equipment.

The 2.0-liter turbo option, previously paired with the automatic transmission and available for $2,500 more than the manual V-6, is no longer offered.

The automatic transmission remains available in the 375-horsepower Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid and the Wrangler Rubicon 392, which features a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 engine with 470 horsepower.

In addition to the powertrain changes, the 2025 Wrangler lineup receives a new color called ’41’, inspired by the olive green of military Jeeps. For the first time, a pre-ventilation feature is also offered, allowing owners to ventilate the cabin remotely via a mobile app. Prices have yet to be announced.
