The Armed Forces of Belarus have equipped armored vehicles and rocket artillery systems, located near the border with Ukraine, with protective anti-drone grills.
This measure was revealed in photos published by the Ministry of Defense of Belarus on their Facebook page.
The images show the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, with its launcher, cabin, and engine protected by Rabitsa mesh screens, a type of sturdy grid.
Another image shows a BTR-80 armored vehicle, which received massive additional protection covering the sides, rear, front, and top of the vehicle.
This is the second time such grills have been seen in use by the Belarusian Armed Forces. Previously, they were displayed only once, in 2022, on a modernized T-72BM2 tank.
In addition to regular Belarusian troops, Ukrainian intelligence has reported the presence of Wagner Group mercenaries near the Belarus-Ukraine border, raising concerns about military activities in the region.
