A recent video released by the 47th OMBr Strike Drones Company captured the moment when a 4×4 vehicle of Chinese origin, carrying Russian officials, was attacked by a drone in the Avdiivka region, currently occupied by Russian forces in Ukraine.

According to the video description, the drone operational unit specifically targeted a Russian commander known by the nickname “Dachnyk”, who was driving what they call a “golf cart” adapted for military use.

The footage shows the vehicle being hit, but surprisingly, all occupants are seen walking away after the explosion without appearing to be injured.
However, soon after, another attack strikes the group on foot, leaving at least one of the officials injured.

What Ukrainians call a ‘golf cart’ are actually Chinese all-terrain vehicles Desertcross 1000-3 from Shandong Odes Industry.
As of mid-November 2023, Russia had 537 units of Desertcross 1000-3 at its disposal, with an additional 1,590 units expected to be acquired by the end of March 2024.
The vehicle, weighing 1,050 kg, can carry a load of 550 kg in its bed and tow an additional 300 kg trailer. Russia is paying 1.58 million rubles (US$ 17,200) per unit for the basic configuration and 2.1 million rubles (US$ 22,800) per unit for UTVs with optional add-ons.
The all-terrain Desertcross 1000-3 vehicle is designed for patrol and reconnaissance operations, attack and search and rescue operations, as well as transporting material in difficult road and soil conditions.
