The unexpected visit was documented by Transport for NSW, with released images showing the horse on the platform, calmly staying behind the yellow line as a train approached.
Transport for NSW humorously referred to the equine visitor as a “missing individual” heading to the train station, noting in their social media post that it was “reported to be wearing only a blanket and showing a bit of horsey behavior.”
More details emerged as the service updated the public, stating: “After reviewing CCTV footage, the individual was located on the platform at Warwick Farm Train Station. It appeared to chase an informant along the platform before attempting, unsuccessfully, to board a train service. The individual then moved to the parking area, where it was greeted by its owner and safely returned home. No one involved in the incident intends to take further action, as the individual was just gathering!”
Local media noted that the Warwick Farm Station is located near a racecourse, although it was not confirmed where the horse had escaped from.
