The Russian air defense system was hit by a high-precision rocket from the American M142 HIMARS MLRS.
This is evidenced by the corresponding video from the 65th Mechanized Brigade, whose fighters directed the Defense Forces’ artillery to the target.

OSINT analysts identified the location of the enemy’s air defense system in the temporarily occupied territory. The Strela-10 air defense system was located at the position at coordinates 47.353327, 35.710837.

This indicates that the enemy’s air defense system was hit on the outskirts of Myrne village in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Judging by the released video, the Russian air defense system was detected with the help of a reconnaissance drone.

The Russians did not expect the Ukrainian UAVs to find this position. Therefore, the launcher was not even camouflaged.

After detecting the enemy, the Ukrainian drone operators transmitted information about the location of the Russian air defense system to one of the missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The damage, judging by the characteristic explosion almost above the launcher itself, was caused by a GMLRS missile with M142 HIMARS or M270 MLRS.

The Russian air defense system was hit by tungsten balls, of which 180,000 are contained in the warhead of the high-precision American missile M30A1, which was used.

The published images show that the Strela-10 complex was at least seriously damaged, which likely led to its destruction.

The Strela-10 air defense system is designed to destroy aerial targets at short distances and low altitudes with its visual visibility. The complex provides direct cover for units and units of ground forces and ground facilities for military and other purposes. The base of the system is the 9A34 combat vehicle, which is made on the chassis of the light armored MT-LB.
