A YouTuber claims to have uncovered one of the production secrets behind MTV’s Pimp My Ride after buying a van that appeared on the show for around US$850.
After inspecting the vehicle, Tavarish concluded that it was not the same model shown at the beginning of the episode, but rather another similar vehicle used during the transformation.
According to the content creator, the van he purchased is a 1999 model, while the show initially featured a vehicle from 1988. He said the production team sometimes used similar vehicles when the original was in such poor condition that it could not be restored or modified.
