A pickup truck carrying fireworks exploded after catching fire on Interstate 75 (I-75) in Hamilton County, Tennessee (USA), forcing the closure of the highway.
The incident occurred on the evening of Saturday (6), when a white pickup truck towing a trailer began emitting smoke. Shortly afterward, the trailer caught fire and the fireworks being transported started detonating in rapid succession, sending sparks and rockets in multiple directions across the roadway.
Crews from the Chattanooga Fire Department and the Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to contain the blaze, while police shut down traffic and redirected drivers away from the danger zone.
