A long-range FP-1 drone used by Ukraine struck the Protasovo air base, located in Russia’s Ryazan region.

According to preliminary information, the attack targeted facilities associated with the development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles, expanding Ukraine’s campaign against strategic infrastructure on Russian territory.

Reports released by the analyst group Dossye Shpiona indicate that the base houses a research and production center dedicated to drone development. The complex is reportedly responsible for activities related to the creation and improvement of unmanned systems used by Russian forces.

Images of the moment of the explosion were reportedly recorded by an employee of the facility, who filmed the attack with a mobile phone. The material circulated on social media and helped confirm the impact against the air base’s hangars.

The FP-1 drone used in the operation is a long-range strike platform developed by the Ukrainian company Fire Point. With a range of up to 1,600 kilometers and the ability to carry up to 113 kilograms of payload, the equipment was designed to hit strategic targets located far from the front line.
