Ukrainian drones hit a missile-launching corvette of the Russian Navy at the Kronstadt naval base in St. Petersburg during a series of attacks carried out in the early hours of June 3.
The information comes from the Ukrainian outlet Militarnyi. According to Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, the target was the corvette Boikiy, from the Baltic Fleet, which was undergoing maintenance in a dry dock.
Images released after the attack show a drone directly striking the vessel. So far, Russian authorities have not released an official assessment of the damage, while Ukrainian sources say the results of the operation are still being analyzed.

The attack was part of a broader offensive against military and infrastructure targets in the St. Petersburg region. In addition to the Kronstadt naval base, drones hit an oil terminal in the city, causing fires and temporary disruptions to operations at Pulkovo Airport.
The action took place just hours before the opening of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russia’s main economic event, often referred to as the Russian “Davos”. Analysts say the choice of date carried strong symbolic value, demonstrating Ukraine’s ability to strike strategic targets more than 1,000 kilometers from its territory.
The corvette Boikiy is a Steregushchiy-class vessel equipped with anti-ship missiles, air defense systems and anti-submarine weapons, making it one of the modern units of the Baltic Fleet. If the damage is confirmed, the attack will represent another setback for the Russian Navy, which has already suffered significant losses since the start of the war.
