
Two MV-22 Osprey aircraft from the United States Marine Corps carried out an emergency response exercise this Saturday (23) at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela.
The activity, recorded on video, was part of military training focused on readiness and the rapid response capability of U.S. forces in emergency situations.
According to the information released, the flights were authorized by Venezuelan authorities. The operation involved two MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft, which are capable of taking off and landing vertically like helicopters, while also flying like airplanes during longer-range movements.
In a statement, the U.S. mission highlighted that ensuring the military’s rapid response capability is an essential component of mission readiness, both in Venezuela and in other regions of the world.

The exercise comes at a time of heightened attention to the U.S. naval presence in the region. According to the information cited, the USS Iwo Jima, an amphibious assault ship of the U.S. Navy, is operating off the Venezuelan coast.
Despite the military movement, the episode was presented as a training and emergency response activity. The information released does not indicate any incidents during the exercise.
