A motorcycle equipped with a Ferrari V8 engine has been sold for around US$500,000 just a few months after the ambitious project was completed.

The motorcycle, named the HF355, was created by builder Maxwell Hazan at his workshop in Los Angeles, California, using a 3.5-liter engine taken from a 1999 Ferrari F355.

The project took approximately 18 months to complete and combines a fully handcrafted chassis with custom-developed components designed to accommodate the massive naturally aspirated V8 engine.

According to Hazan, the 265 kg motorcycle delivers more than 400 horsepower and can reach speeds of around 300 km/h. In addition to the Ferrari engine, the HF355 features a carbon-fiber body, custom suspension, and an almost unique mechanical setup.

Hazan recently sold the HF355 to an unidentified buyer for half a million dollars, placing the model in a category usually reserved for rare supercars and historic collectible motorcycles.

“This bike is the ultimate example of using every skill I have. From aesthetics to engineering, tuning, and fabrication, it was the biggest challenge to date,” Hazan told Robb Report.
