Ukraine’s Tencore and France’s Shark Robotics have announced the creation of a joint venture during the Ukraine–European Union Business Forum in Brussels, Belgium.

The partnership is part of the “Build with Ukraine” initiative, which aims to bring Ukrainian defense companies and European manufacturers closer together in co-production projects. The alliance combines Ukraine’s experience in military robotics with French expertise in systems designed for emergency response.

The agreement brings together two complementary technological fronts. On one side, Tencore contributes its combat-proven unmanned ground systems, including the TerMIT, already widely used by Ukrainian forces in logistics, evacuation, and operational support missions. On the other side, Shark Robotics adds its expertise in robots for firefighting, security, and demining, including the Colossus platform, which gained international recognition after being used during the Notre-Dame Cathedral fire.

In recent months, Tencore has expanded its presence in Europe by signing agreements with companies in Germany and Finland, broadening its production and cooperation network. This strategy aims to integrate practical experience gained on the Ukrainian battlefield into the European defense industry, strengthening both production capacity and joint technological development.

This move comes amid a broader shift in how Europe evaluates and acquires military technologies. The war in Ukraine has served as a real-world testing ground for robotic systems, providing valuable data on combat performance. As a result, European countries are increasingly prioritizing solutions already tested under real conditions, accelerating partnerships with Ukrainian companies before the conflict ends.
