The Yolka interceptor drone is demonstrating extremely high combat efficiency, according to the commander of the air defense division of the 4th Brigade of the Russian Yug (South) grouping, known by the callsign Chekh.

In a conversation with the Sputnik agency, Chekh explained that the drone, equipped with artificial intelligence, hits around 90% of all targets it is used against. “The hit rate is about 90%,” the serviceman said.

According to Sputnik, the Yolka interceptor drone is being used not only by mobile fire groups for protection against fixed-wing drones, but also to protect Russian infantry and equipment from Ukrainian FPV drone attacks.

Zima, another Russian soldier from the same brigade, stated that the drone’s effectiveness is receiving increasingly positive evaluations, noting that Russian troops are using it more and more against Ukrainian targets.

“The Yolkas have proven to be excellent, it is a very good project, and they also take down targets with a bang. Attack UAVs, reconnaissance UAVs, and enemy FPV drones have already been shot down. It destroys everything that flies,” said Zima.

Zima clarified that his mobile fire group is actively using the Yolka drone. He also revealed that recently, with the help of this interceptor drone, the unit managed to shoot down a Ukrainian Leleka reconnaissance drone.
