A mysterious triangular aircraft was seen flying over the area known as Area 51 in Nevada, USA, according to a report from The Aviationist.
The information comes from Anders Otteson, owner of the YouTube channel Uncanny Expeditions. He told the media that he spotted the unusually shaped aircraft during a recent trip to the Groom Lake area.
The sighting occurred on the night of January 14, 2026, according to Otteson, while he was camping in the area to observe nighttime air activity using his scanners, thermal imaging equipment, and optical sensors.
But even more interesting than the sighting itself is the fact that a similarly shaped aircraft had already been seen in Wichita, Kansas, in February 2014. About a month later, three triangular aircraft were also observed in Amarillo, Texas.
Despite years of speculation, no official explanation has been provided. Additionally, the aircraft that flew over Wichita has never been publicly identified or seen again.
The photo of the Groom Lake aircraft was taken with an AGM TM50-640 thermal camera. Due to the distance, there may be some image distortion, making the aircraft appear similar to a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber.
Otteson explained, however, that he clearly saw a B-2 Spirit flying over the area shortly before the mysterious aircraft appeared. Comparing the thermal images of the two aircraft, the differences between the platforms are clear.
The B-2, call sign REARM71, operated in the area for about four hours before returning to Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. While the nature of the operation was not disclosed, the density of radio traffic in the area that night, according to experts, indicates the B-2 was involved in something more serious than a routine or training flight.
Later, Otteson and Joerg Arnu from the Dreamland Resort went live to discuss the sighting. During the broadcast, they suggested that the mysterious triangular aircraft captured in the thermal images does not appear to have been mentioned or involved in radio communications that night.
While Arnu and Otteson shared their theories, they emphasized that they have no concrete evidence regarding the activities carried out on the night of January 14. For now, the main takeaway from this latest revelation is that the aircraft seen in Kansas in 2014 appears to be active again, more than ten years later.
