The Global 8000 jet, from the Canadian company Bombardier, officially entered service this month.

With a maximum speed of Mach 0.950 (approximately 1,160 km/h), the aircraft earned the title of the fastest business jet in the world, surpassing the Gulfstream G700, which reaches Mach 0.935 (1,145 km/h).

The new Bombardier model, which the company claims is the fastest civilian aircraft in the world since the Concorde, retired in 2003, also surpasses its competitor in range, capable of flying up to 14,816 km, while the G700 can cover up to 14,353 km.

Being capable of such long, non-stop flights, the long-range jet features several elements to help combat jet lag for passengers, including custom lighting, more comfortable seats, and cabin pressurization to reduce the effects of high-altitude flying.

Inside, the jet includes five rooms, including a reception area with a kitchen, a lavatory with a window, a private crew suite, and wardrobes for both passengers and crew near the entrance.

Further along, there is a lounge with four seats, retractable tables, and a 24-inch TV, as well as a conference room, a private space for meetings and dining for up to six people with an adjustable table.

The jet also features an entertainment room with a sofa bed for three people, a TV, and a high-quality sound system, and finally, a suite with an armchair, a large bed, two wardrobes, a 32-inch TV, and a private bathroom with a shower.
